Terms and Conditions
ACCEPTANCE OF QUOTATION:
A quotation given JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD is only capable of acceptance on the basis of these terms and conditions. Acceptance of this quote shall be given in writing by way of signage on the last page and return via email to our ofﬁces.
Variations or additions to a Client’s order or acceptance must be agreed with a representative of our Company and must be conﬁrmed in writing by us. No variations or additions will be made unless agreed in this way.
Emergency repair works and additional works carried out by JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD as are necessary (including the purchase of any additional materials) will be charged to the Client in addition to any quoted price given by us and shall be charged at our standard hourly rate for such works.
CARE AND GUARANTEE:
We take extra care not to cause any damage to either the interior or exterior of the owners’ property during operation or completion. We cannot take responsibility for bad weather (ex. Hail, Heavy Rain, Storm, etc.) accident or any other cause whatsoever during or after completion of said contract.
We are not electricians, we are not authorized to work on cables and wires. Although we take extreme care with all Electrical cables and wires, Alarm System cables and wires and DSTV cables and wires. We cannot be held responsible for any damaged cause to any of the above mentioned cables and wires.
We do give a manufacturing guarantee on the colour bond gutters against rust, but the guarantee does not cover building movement, structural defect, rotten wood or algae and/or physical damages.
All materials supplied and ﬁtted will remain the property of the company and ownership of in respect thereof will only pass to the customer when the contract price as stipulated has been paid in full.
Damage caused to the completed job arising from the work of other trades people (contractors) is the responsibility of the customer and cancellation of guarantee.
Maintenance is subject to doing the maintenance to insure guarantee is in order. The maintenance is to the cost of the client. Failure to do maintenance as required will render the guarantee
Our company will assure the customer of our best attention at all times.
We try to match paint colour as close as possible, but we cannot guarantee a perfect match between old colour with new colour.
If our company need to go back to the customers House/Building due to a dispute and found that it is not the fault of our company a call out fee will be charged.
It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that the structure of the roof on which works are to be carried out is sufﬁcient and strong enough for the works as ordered by the Client and no claim may be made against JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD in the event that this is not so.
No claim can be made in any event against JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD by the Client which exceeds the contract price for the work carried out by the Contractor.
JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by non-performance of any of its obligations to the Client due to act of God, war, civil disturbance, government actions, strike, lock out or trade dispute, difﬁculties in obtaining materials, breakdown in machinery, ﬁre or accident or any other cause whatsoever beyond the control of JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD. Should any such event occur JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD reserves the right to cancel or suspend the contract without incurring any liability for any loss or damage thereby occasioned.
JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD reserves the right to refuse to execute any work or contract if the arrangements for payment or the Client’s credit are not satisfactory to JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD.
SERVICE TO BE SUPPLIED BY THE CLIENT
The Client is responsible for ensuring that there is provided on site for use by the Contractor a mains electricity supply, a water supply and toilet facilities for use by the Contractor.
The Client is responsible for contacting the electricity board and any other provider of services which may be affected by the carrying out of the work and in particular have all overhead power cables checked and made safe at the Clients expense unless we undertake so to do in writing.
The Client shall be responsible for ensuring that there is adequate proper and safe access for us and our employees to the site on which work is to be carried out.
The Client shall ensure the he has notiﬁed the insurers of his property, that works are being carried out to the property by us. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that he is properly covered by insurance against loss or damage by ﬁre or other risks arising out of the works to be carried out by us.
It shall be the responsibility of the Client to ensure that appropriate consents are obtained from neighboring or other third parties in the event that work to be carried out by us may or will involve entering onto land of neighbors or third parties or in any way interfering with rights of such persons. Any costs, delay claims or losses suffered by us as a result of failure to obtain such consents shall be added to the account of the client who shall reimburse us for the same.
It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that television aerials and satellite dishes are removed where necessary prior to works commencing. A charge will be made by us for removal and replacement unless such charge is included within the quotation given prior to the works commencing.
We reserve the right to vary any speciﬁcations and methods of doing the work at our discretion. Such variations could occur if a more effective way of doing the work is found. Invoice will then me amended accordingly.
This quotation is valid for a period of 30 days from the date hereof, after which time it may be subject to reviews.

Save where speciﬁc terms as to payment are set out, or otherwise agreed, full payment is due on the date of completion of quoted work.
JBC ROOF COVER (PTY) LTD reserves the right to require payment of 50% of the total quoted amount on account before the work is commenced or at any time before the work is completed.
The Client speciﬁcally acknowledges and agrees that in the event that a quotation is accepted and 50% of the total quoted amount has been paid, that the Client will forfeit its deposit in the event of cancellation of the quotation prior to the actual work commencing.
Payments not made on due date shall subject to interest at a rate of 15% per annum.
